The latest vintage from our winemaker D. Russell Smith shows intriguing flavors & aromas of plum, espresso, toffee and mocha. Rich and firm on the palate with a dark chocolate finish. Pair with pork loin, figs or grilled sausage.
I was very impressed with this blend. Knowing very little about the varietal Carignan, I purchased because we are headed to Barcelona soon and I loved Barons Creek's spanish influence. At first nose I was intrigued and pleasantly surprised at the wonderful aromas (bold) and the flavors didn't disappoint at all yet it was structurely very smooth and silky. I really look forward to learning more about the vineyards Spanish region at the Luau pickup party.
